Cookin up some Magic

I am so excited I recently had the opportunity to attend the Food Blog Forum in Orlando at Walt Disney World.
I was so blown away by the talented folks that attended and coordinated the weekend's events.  Although everyone was very friendly and welcoming I couldn't help but feel like a fish out of water among the talent there.
Here I am blogging to share family recipes with our family and friends and there I was trying to fit in with those who reach the masses.  Despite my own insecurities I managed to flop out of my small little fish bowl and flop right into Disney's Grand Floridian which played host to the weekend of  knowledge and fun.
Being around so many phenomenal food bloggers (and being out of tiny fish bowl) was an experience I wouldn't change for the world.
The weekend started with a quick trip over to Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney then I was off to the FBF Welcome Reception (where I somehow managed not to take a single picture. I blame the nerves).
The introvert in me gets a little Goofy when I'm in mix and mingle situations.
Later that evening my mom, friend Tasha, and I hopped over to Epcot.

The next morning I enjoyed a magical breakfast I could never get from Granny's kitchen.
Seeing great food styling & presentation makes me one happy blogger!

I'm so ready to get back to Granny's kitchen to try out some of the lessons (and swag) learned at the Food Blog Forum.
The magic was getting all of this to fit in our suitcase for flight home.
The food stylist -wanna-be side of me was in heaven this weekend.  I just wish I had the camera skills to truly capture how great it really was.
The only thing that could have made the day better was seeing Wishes at Disney's Magic Kingdom...
Oh yeah! This trip was pretty much the most magical weekend in the history of this girl! I'm thankful to have met so many great food bloggers.

  1. And I thought I knew everything that was extra-special about the Mouse! It looks like a truly magical experience!! Pretty food and super-sweet surroundings AND swag!! In fact, the only better experience would be participating in the Princess Half Marathon weekend (free room included!). Just sayin' ...

  2. Thanks for letting me sit with you. I should have hung out with you, your friend, and your mom at the parks. My family could not keep up with me.

    1. Our park motto is "go hard or go home." Mom probably won't be coming back with us as we went a little too hard for her. They somehow managed to hit all 4 parks in the same day while we were at the conference.

    1. Earl of Sandwich is always good. We can't go to Disney without going. This time I tried the Buffalo chicken wrap. I'll definitely recreate that at home soon. Glad to have met you too. I feel like I met so many blogging celebrities!
